Jordan Update

I'm back in Amman now, after a few days exploring some of Jordan's tourist circuit highlights. Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen issues—incredibly expensive internet hotel fees in Petra and an internet connection here in Amman so slow that I haven't been able to load images—I haven't been able to share images and observations. I'll post some entries next week to compensate.

For now, I'll share the words of our Bedouin guide this morning in Wadi Rum, reflecting on the inauguration: "Yowm Obama," or "Obama's day."

Jordan, Plus Kitsuné Maison

Tonight I'm headed to Jordan for a week. Amman, Jerash, Petra, and Wadi Rum are on the itinerary. I'm a complete neophyte as far as travel in the region goes, and I'm really looking forward to the trip.

I'll hold most of my observations for publication elsewhere, though I intend to post a few images along the way.

Also of note is the most amazing playlist I came across last week, which has soundtracked my life since purchase: the exceptional Kitsuné Maison Compilation 6. Just about every song on the compilation makes me feel good about the future of pop music. Favorites include tunes by Streetlife DJs, Lo-Fi-Fnk, Digitalism, and autoKratz.
